1. Operation Data
Internal number: OB_007
Operational regime: Algorithmic Transformation
Source image:
Photograph from life
Operational description:
Prompt to ChatGPT to iteratively operate on the photo using AND-OR-XOR logic until the form enters into crisis.
2. Tools and Procedure
Tools / medium:
- iPhone 13 camera
- ChatGPT
Script (2026-09 audit): Unverified — the log indicates that a prompt was used on ChatGPT with the photo; it remains unclear whether this executed and discarded an actual script or if it was direct image generation/editing. To be confirmed by the author.
Technical procedure:
- Take photo
- Upload it to ChatGPT via prompt
3. Variables
Controlled variables:
- Photograph
- Choice of result
Uncontrolled / accidental variables:
- How the A.I. operates
- Via prompt only, not through technical operations
4. Visual Sequence

Step 05
5. Visual Selection
Crisis / threshold according to AI-assisted reading / ChatGPT
Crisis / threshold according to my perception
6. Crisis and Formal-Perceptual Reading
Main crisis: The structure of the form is lost
The operation affects the visual grammar of the image: form, outline, color, figure/ground relationship, legibility, recognition, and support.
The form and structure of the object enter into crisis. It is not the image that enters into crisis, but the object; it loses its form and legibility.
7. Final Evaluation and Artistic Referent
Question for the operation:
Does this operation truly put the image into crisis, or does it function merely as an aesthetic effect?
The image does not enter into crisis; the object enters into crisis.
Operation notes / what I learned:
It functions as an operation that alters the form of recognition shown by the image. The object loses its meaning, but the image remains stable.
